Digital Marketer Role

Join Marathon is looking to hire a digital marketer to support its clients in effectively promoting their companies across all digital channels. Join Marathon helps startups establish product traction, grow and influence their industry with its proprietary growth framework. On a daily basis, the digital marketer will manage content creation, social media, email/sms, and influencers to target and convert key customers for Join Marathon’s clients. 

The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast paced environment with early stage companies spanning a variety of industries. The digital marketer’s number one priority is client success and they are always curious about how they can improve their efforts.

Objectives of this role

  • Plan, execute, and manage all digital marketing activities, including content marketing, social media marketing, email/sms marketing, and influencer marketing

  • Establish and execute a digital marketing strategy to distribute content

  • Maintain consistent brand messaging across all social channels adhering to brand guidelines

  • Identify, analyze, and measure trends and content to assess how well it’s performing and optimize user experience

  • Create and maintain a content calendar to deliver targeted content according to schedule

Responsibilities

  • Create and manage content, social media, emails, influencers, and other forms of digital communications for Join Marathon’s clients

  • Research, track, and analyze consumer behaviors and trends and implement research into digital marketing campaigns

  • Prepare reports and analytics on the overall performance of various marketing campaigns, including ROIs and KPIs

  • Collaborate with leadership and the marketing team to brainstorm new and innovative growth strategies and marketing techniques

  • Develop and monitor campaign budgets

  • Stay up to date on the latest social media and marketing trends, and implement them in marketing campaigns

  • Prepared to assist with miscellaneous marketing tasks to ensure smooth operations and project success

Skills and qualifications

  • Social media savvy, with a passion for staying on top of trends

  • Strong sense of creativity, imagination, and innovation

  • Proficiency in photo and video editing software

  • Proficiency in email/sms softwares such as Mailchimp, Klaviyo, and Attentive

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with other departments

  • In-depth knowledge of various social media platforms and best practices

  • Ability to analyze consumer metrics, reports, and trends

  • Strong project management and managerial skills

  • Ability to work nights and weekends as needed to achieve client goals

  • Understanding of website analytics tools, such as Google Analytics

Preferred qualifications

  • In-depth knowledge of current digital trends

  • Experience in digital marketing, or a related field

  • Experience with SEO and SEM strategy and keyword research

  • Experience with basic website design and development

  • Analytical mind, with a passion for measuring data
